Spanish ports risk losing 400 million euros a year due to truck traffic jams

Spanish ports face the logistical challenge of managing goods more efficiently once they arrive on land. For infrastructure, simply increasing cargo volume or expanding docks and terminals to gain capacity is no longer enough. Now, the focus is also on the time it takes for goods to leave the port. The economic gains generated by this are significant. According to calculations by Ocean Infrastructures Management (OIM), a consulting subsidiary of Ocean Capital Partners (OCP), reducing the average wait time for trucks at port access points by one hour would free up more than €400 million annually for the Spanish economy.
