Interview with José Luis Almazán about the closure of the Strait of Hormuz

According to calculations by the consulting firm Ocean Capital Partners (OCP), the impact of the conflict in the Middle East affects 10.71 TP3T of the global container shipping fleet. "If we consider that 42.1 TP3T of the value of world trade is transported in maritime containers, given that 701 TP3T of global trade moves by sea and, of that volume, 601 TP3T corresponds to containerized transport, the effect extends to approximately 4.51 TP3T of the total value of world trade," notes José Luis Almazán, CEO of OCP.
