The main shipping companies face cost overruns of 142 million euros in Spain

Operators are reorganizing their calls and transferring business to non-EU ports in Africa and Northern Europe in the face of the increase in costs due to EU regulations. Environmental regulations and, especially, the European Union's new Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), are forcibly transforming the world map of shipping traffic, especially container transshipment. Spain is one of the main victims of the change in EU rules.
