The lucrative business of 'megayachts': each one contributes 6.5 million to the economy

The port facilities manager Ocean Infrastructures Management (OIM) has put the annual economic impact of each mega-yacht in the world at 6.5 million euros. And despite the fact that these amounts are within the reach of a few, the fleet of superyachts around the world will not stop growing in the coming years: it will exceed 7,000 in 2032, compared to the 6,270 registered at the end of 2021, citing data published by The Superyacht Group.
