Archaeological remains found that describe the urban evolution of the city of Ibiza

The modernization works of the infrastructure of the new marina for large yachts in the Marina area of the port of Eivissa have brought to light numerous archaeological remains, which cover an impressive historical span that begins in the Punic era, continues in the Roman and Muslim eras and extends to the construction, for example, of the first road that linked the capital of the island with Sant Antoni, dating from 1867.

These works, carried out by the concessionaire of that port, IGY Ibiza Marina, managed by Ocean Capital Partners (OCP), Grupo Empresas Matutes and Island Global Yachting (IGY), consisted of laying the electrical supply conduit from a central station located approximately behind the Santa María institute, to the port's dock area, between the Martillo and the old Muro; the route included part of the Ignasi Wallis avenue and the entire Bartomeu de Roselló avenue, as well as sections of the Vicente Serra i Orvay and Arzobispo Cardona Riera streets.
