Juan Manuel Martín

Juan Manuel manages consultancy projects related to ports, both for the public and private sectors. He is also part of the management team of the Spanish Association of Port Operating Companies (ASOPORT).

Throughout his career, Juan Manuel has specialized in consultancy services for the port and coastal sectors, mostly in Spain but also Middle East, South and Central America, and Africa. Specifically, he has helped design and implement business strategies for container, bulk and passenger terminals, general cargo, and ro-ro, as well as for marinas. Additionally, he has participated in several projects related to the European Union’s ‘Motorways of the Sea’ and ‘Innovation’ frameworks.

Juan Manuel is a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid. He teaches as an external lecturer at several postgraduate courses related to port engineering and smart ports in the Technical University of Madrid. He has also helped with the creation of the first edition of the Spanish Dictionary of Engineering in the field of civil works in the construction area.
