José Luis Almazán

José Luis Almazán is the founding partner of Ocean Capital Partners. He is the representative in Spain of Queensland Investment Corporation, an infrastructure investment company owned by the Queensland Government in Australia, which has 98.7 billion Australian dollars (67.9 billion US dollars) of assets under management.

José Luis Almazán is executive vice president of PIPE, the leading association in the Spanish port sector, and an active member of the Board of Directors of several companies, including Ocean Infrastructures Management (OIM), IGY Málaga Marina, Grupo Marina Aucanada, Marina Ibiza, Terminales del Grupo Eurogate, Terminales Marítimas Boluda.

José Luis Almazán holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from IE Business School. He has also completed the General Management Program (GMP) at Harvard Business School, as well as postdoctoral studies at IESE and Harvard Business School.
